Whether you are teaching in person or from home, it can be tough finding a writing unit that is COVID friendly. I just completed the most fun writing unit I’ve ever done in my classroom! I am in person, but we did everything digitally to keep things safe. Students get to create an interview, an informational, and an editorial (persuasive) article to put them all together to create their very own magazine!
This product, Magazine Writing Unit, appropriate for grades 4-8, allows you to teach using a cross-curricular approach. You can use it with any science or social studies unit you are teaching, or if you prefer, students can use this as a PBL, researching a topic of their own interest (this is a great, self-paced way from home).
