Trying to figure out your next bulletin board idea can run you dry. This is one of my favorite type of boards to create! Here’s the “recipe”:
- 1 cute bulletin board
- 1 “Fall in love with… (the genre of your unit)” title
- 10+ student journal entries, scanned, and printed
- A pinch of love and inspiration
I love the hard work and analysis my students put into their journaling. This high critical-thinking skill should be put on display! In the mornings, my students open their journal to the previous night’s homework. I take a scan (you can have them do this themselves if they are on iPads) and print mentor examples to hand on the board (try to include everyone on rotation to encourage all students!). Viola! You have a great quality bulletin board display!
